Cape Town has plenty of surf spots along the coast, from coves with little, calm swells, to huge beaches with big, bone-crunching waves. Interestingly, the usually icy Cape Peninsula water temperatures rises during the winter and makes the winter months ideal for a surf; and of course the bigger winter storms make for bigger waves to ride!
