Hawaii’s Best Kept Secret

Join Chris as he gives us a quick insider’s view of the stunning Byodo-In temple located on the tropical Hawaiian Island of Oahu. Experience one of Hawaii’s best kept secret at a relaxed pace by observing the serenity and beauty of the abundant scenery.

The temple is an exact replica of a temple located in Kyoto, Japan. Built in 1968, the temple has been delighting tourists and locals alike for nearly fifty years and offers an authentic taste of the Japanese culture that has flourished on the island thanks to Japanese immigration in the mid-18th century.

The Temple grounds are home to wild peacocks, hundreds of Japanese koi, a large reflecting pond, meditation areas, and small waterfalls.

Did you know that the grounds are also often used for wedding ceremonies usually for native Hawaiians or Japanese Visitors?
